Step-by-Step Fixes
- Restart Marathon to ensure you have the latest patch (deployed ~Feb 27, 2026)
- Restart your router and PC — temporary fix for many users until patch applied
- [PC] Flush DNS: run
ipconfig /flushdnsin admin Command Prompt - Set DNS to 8.8.8.8 / 8.8.4.4 (Google) or 1.1.1.1 (Cloudflare)
- Use wired Ethernet; disable VPN and firewall temporarily
- Primarily seen in EU players (ISP-related). If it persists, report at Marathon Help.
What Causes Weasel?
Weasel was a server-side connection bug that caused repeated disconnects every 45–60 seconds. Bungie identified and patched it. If you still see it, your client may not have the patch, or local network/ISP factors (especially in the EU) can trigger similar behavior. Restarting router and PC clears stale connections.
